Lip Blush and Lip Neutralisation

Lip Blush and Neutralisation

Lip Blush

Lip Blushing is a cosmetic tattoo that uses water-based inks to create the illusion of fuller lips by implanting color in areas that may be less pigmented naturally or have lost color as a result of fillers and/or aging. A digital machine is used to deposit tiny dots of color all over your lips and the result is a very natural, beautiful tint with no visible outline. Custom color is mixed for each and every client based on their skin color, undertones, and existing lip shade.

Dark Lip Neutralisation

Lip Neutralization is a specialized treatment series for people with darker lips with purple or blue undertones. The process is including 3 steps:

  • We need to naturalize the lips to a natural and healthy look as much as possible with orange or red pigment
  • We start to add the color of our choices and see how your body accepts the treatment.
  • We adjust the color: more or less based on the final desired look.

Each session is spread out at least 6 weeks apart. It may take 1-3 sessions to achieve your look, and there are special cases in which additional sessions are needed.

If your lips are two-toned, cool, brown, dark looking, you will need to have a neutralization procedure. If you are still not sure, send a photo of your lips in natural lighting via email to fernandahardmanbeauty@gmail.com to confirm.

Yes, however, during the first session we will have to color correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. This means the initial color we tattoo MUST be orange! If we are to tattoo any other color, you risk darkening your lips further or having absolutely no results at all.
When healed at 6 weeks, most if not all of the darkness in your lips will be covered and your lips will have a nude/pink even tone. Note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening, or evening out dark lips may take a few sessions. Under no circumstances will we tattoo a “NUDE” color on dark or cool toned lips. If you are unsure if you have dark or cool toned lips you can send us a picture of your lips in natural light to confirm. Lips too dark or thick will be rejected so please be sure to email pictures if your lips are extremely dark grey or black in color.

The Initial Touch Up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment. We will assess the healed color at this time to make any adjustments and re-saturate the color as needed.

WHY LIP BLUSH AND DARK LIP NEUTRALIZATION ?

These treatments can enhance the beauty of natural lip color, correct asymmetry, and make lips look naturally plump & flushed! Using only organic pigments, we achieve a color that deepens the natural color of the lip, appearing fuller and richer in pigmentation. Custom color is mixed for each and every client based on their skin color, undertones, and existing lip shade , therefore, you can be sure to achieve the desired effect. Lip Blush and Lip Neutralizing can last for approximately 2-4 years, or longer with recommended refresh sessions every 18-24 months.

PERMANENT MAKEUP IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY CLIENTS WHO ARE OR HAVE

Pre-Procedural Considerations:

  • No alcohol or caffeinated product’s 24 hours before treatment and no aspirin or bloodthinning medication’s five (5) days prior.
  • Absolutely no injections of Novocaine should be administered to you ten (10) days before treatment. Please advise me of any current injections.
  • All makeup should be removed and the skin thoroughly cleansed. I prefer you do this before your arrival.
  • For optimal results, the skin to be treated should not be irritated. • If you use or have used Retin-A or any other medications, please advise the technician
  • Pain Preparation: Though the sensation of micro pigmentation implantation is minimal, clients respond differently. Some will feel a stronger sensation than others. Overall,
procedures require minimal pain preparation. However, some clients use some sort of preparation for the treatment as a mental comfort. Many have taken over-the-counter Tylenol, 30 minutes before treatment. This will not interfere with the procedure. Any physician prescribed pain relieving medication for which you have arranged, should be
taken as directed, usually after your arrival at the office. Please advise me of any medications taken. If desired, a dental block can be administered before the procedure.
For Full Lip procedures, a dental block may be recommended
  • For clients with any history of cold sores/fever-blister/herpes, even if it was when you were a child, contact your physician and request a prescription for Zovirax, Valtrex or Famvir. Take 2 days before the procedure, the day of the procedure and 2 days after the procedure as directed and repeat on all visits.

After Care information & Advised

To ensure proper healing and beautiful results for your new lips, it is important to follow these aftercare instructions:

  • Day 1: On the day of the procedure, gently cleanse the treated area using a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and water. Apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare ointment.
  • Days 2-14: Apply a small amount of aftercare ointment to the treated area twice a day, using a clean cotton swab. Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing the area to prevent scarring or pigment loss.
  • Keep the treated area dry for 24 hours following the procedure and avoid activities such as swimming, saunas, and hot tubs for at least two weeks. Direct sunlight should also be avoided, as it can cause the pigment to fade.
  • Refrain from applying makeup or skincare products to the treated area for at least one week. When you do resume using these products, be gentle and avoid rubbing the treated
    area.
  • Hot liquids, like coffee or tea, should be avoided for the first 24 hours after the procedure. Drinking through a straw can help minimize moisture on the treated area in the first few days.
  • If you experience itching, redness, or swelling, you can apply a cool compress to the area.
However, avoid scratching or picking at the treated area to prevent scarring or pigment loss.
  • During the healing process, your lips may appear dry, flaky, or scabbed. This is a normal part of the healing process, and it is important to avoid picking at any scabs or dry skin to prevent pigment loss.
  • If you have any questions or concerns about your aftercare, reach out to your artist.
Follow-up appointments may be necessary to ensure proper healing of your permanent makeup
  • Remember that permanent makeup is a process, and it may take several weeks for the final results to be visible. Be patient, follow the aftercare instructions diligently, and enjoy your beautiful new lips.
